Guoneng Pingluo Power Generation Co., Ltd. was established in 2015 and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of National Energy Group Ningxia Electric Power Co., Ltd. As the "ballast stone" for regional energy supply, Pingluo Power Plant shoulders the important mission of ensuring electricity for 436000 households and serving industrial steam for surrounding chemical and metallurgical enterprises. Among them, ICS (Industrial Control System) serves as the "nerve center" for power plant production and operation, with strict requirements for real-time and stability. Facing challenges


1 The compliance requirements of Xinchuang are clear. The core ICS/DCS system needs to be adapted to domestic systems and ensure low latency and high stability operation to avoid affecting unit control.

2 The security protection of the core hyper converged architecture is insufficient. As a key carrier of production data and control instructions, it lacks strict permission control and protection mechanisms, resulting in high risks of data leakage and system intrusion.

3 Distributed management of control and office terminals results in low operation and maintenance efficiency, and time-consuming troubleshooting and recovery; Data is stored in a decentralized manner and the backup mechanism is unreliable, which can easily lead to data loss issues.

This project is aimed at Guoneng. Pingluo Power Plant requires intelligent operation and lightweight IT architecture upgrade, adopting a single machine virtualization approach. The server hardware of three domestically produced Kunpeng chips is independently deployed and integrated into the same management platform using a single machine virtualization architecture, paired with the Kirin operating system and deeply integrated with the Harmony ICS System application software integrates computing, storage, network, and virtualization resources into an integrated node device. Realize the visualization monitoring and scheduling of cluster resources through a unified management platform, compatible with system interfaces such as power plant DCS and ICS. Realize autonomous and controllable full chain from chip to software. Compared to relying on traditional chip architectures, this solution completely avoids the risk of external technological sanctions and achieves efficient integration of production data and IT systems, helping smart power plant data collaboration and intelligent decision-making.
